I’m now participating in 12×12 in 2012, a picture book writing challenge headed by Julie Hedlund. That means I will try to write 12 picture book drafts in 12 months in 2012. One rough draft per month. When I participated in November’s Picture Book Idea Month (PiBoIdMo), I really liked having a deadline and a community of writers for encouragement. Since I didn’t write very many new stories last year, I decided to join the challenge. I think I work better under pressure with a deadline. If you’d like to join this fun picture book writing campaign, head on over to Julie’s blog and sign up! (Just click on the badge)

You certainly DO work better under pressure! 12×12 should be a cinch for you after working to the Easy Reader deadlines! Good luck!

Thanks, Genevieve! Yes, I guess deadlines help. Best wishes to you as well on your manuscripts!
